Saturday August 22, 2009
from
10:00am -
2:00pm
This Seminar provides technical information designed to help people obtain a better outcome WHILE learning ways to minimize legal expenses.
THC Company will provide you with a wealth of information, regardless of whether you:
(1) Are merely contemplating separation and divorce
(2) Believe your divorce will be amicable
(3) Are deeply entrenched in a divorce, custody-related, or support-modification battle.
If you live in Santa Clara County, you are fortunate to have access to a little known tool not available in other nearby counties to help you find out the strengths and weaknesses of prospective attorneys - a free tool most attorneys don't want you to know about, and one that is not advertised.
You will be provided with a wealth of information and vital little-known tips at this unique seminar, tips that are not available in any book and not sufficiently on the internet. You will be provided with materials and handouts to help you with your specific circumstances, and you are free to ask questions during the seminar.
The course will cover:
(1) Whether to separate and divorce - your risks for divorcing
(2) How to do your own divorce, and should you?
(3) The different kinds of divorce attorneys and how to know which
type to choose for your situation
(4) Resources and tools to end the endless legal filings and find real help
(5) Brief overview of custody evaluations, psychological evaluations, and vocational evaluations
(6) Constructing a successful custody arrangement plan
(7) Alimony/child support
(8) How the family court system works & doesn't work
(9) What you can expect to pay in legal fees
(10) Resources for free and low-cost legal help
(11) Resources if you suspect your spouse is hiding money or monopolizing property, or issues with splitting assets/debts
This seminar is NOT taught by a legal professional and no legal advice is offered, but is taught by a divorce litigant and parent who teaches a How to Divorce class at a local adult education campus and who has built a successful business educating people how to successfully navigate the family court system without falling victim to its weaknesses or losing all their finances in the process.
The last 20 minutes of class will be an opportunity for participants to mingle to share experiences, get referrals for good attorneys, etc.
