The Jubilee of Acoustic Music Festival brings together some of the Midwest's finest entertainers, instructors and musicians for two days of Traditional Acoustic Music. Concerts start on the main stage each morning at 10:00 AM running continuously until 4:30 PM and highlight folk, blue grass and celtic styles. The festival also features instructional workshops from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM each day for novice, beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Workshop instruction includes guitar, fiddle, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, autoharp, mandolin, banjo, bones, harmonica, penny whistle and Irish flute. Friday night, the festival stage lights up with 'Trinity' playing Celtic/Irish tunes with a jam session afterwards hosted at JP Coffee. The Saturday night concert features local guitarist Cindy Egger-Farris followed by Jem Moore on the hammered dulcimer. Rounding out the evening, the Connecticut folk/bluegrass band "Doofus" showcases Neil and Coleen Walters on Mountain Dulcimer and Upright Bass along with John and Heidi Cerrigone on Banjo and Autoharp. Another jam session hosted at JP Coffee after the concert will conclude the festival events. Tickets are available at the door or on-line at www.jubileeofacousticmusic.org.
