The Chinese Model of Globalisation
Tuesday May 15, 2007 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
"China is now one of the biggest investors in Africa, bringing its own approach both to development and diplomacy. How will China's increasing role as a powerhouse of the world economy affect the cultural and political shape which globalisation will take in the future? Does it herald a whole model of globalisation and international relations, and one which might conflict with the Western approach to doing things? Will Hutton, Chief Executive, The Work Foundation and author of The Writing on the Wall; China and the West in the 21st Century comes to the ICA to talk with Mark Leonard, Executive Director, European Council on Foreign Relations and author of What does China Think?"
