New York, New York 10001 Get Directions
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will present its first Rock and Run on the River (www.mskcc.org/rockandrun) on June 10, 2007. This one-day event will feature a 5k run/walk followed by a food and entertainment festival on Hudson River Park’s Pier 46 (West Side Highway and Charles Street). Platinum-selling recording artist Gavin DeGraw will perform at the post run/walk festivities. Dan Abrams, General Manager of MSNBC and the chief legal correspondent of NBC News, will host. All participants in the run/walk will receive a commemorative T-shirt and bandana designed by acclaimed fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo.

The event is designed to raise awareness and funds for MSKCC’s Cancer Survivorship Initiative. After the run/walk, attendees can enjoy signature dishes from acclaimed New York restaurants. In addition to the brunch, other attractions include: A Survivorship Tent, A Cool Down Lounge, and A Kids’ Zone where children and their parents can express themselves by participating in various fun, hands-on activities.

All proceeds from Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Rock and Run on the River will benefit the Center’s Survivorship Program. For more information, visit www.mskcc.org, or call 646-227-3885. Participants can register online at: www.mskcc.org/rockandrun. The cost to participate in the run/walk is $25 if registered before May 25th, and $30 after.
