The Movement! (Out of Manhattan!)

Building on 10 years of collaboration, Cannon Hersey, the scion of an illustrious Americana family and Samson Mnisi, the artist, and product of the South African revolution. Samson Mnisi in his show, projects immense archetype, archetype content. Both, Cannon and Mnisi took over a landmark. The Metropolitan Exchange Building next to BAM., in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn.

Their production: Art energized by light, showcases, aesthetics advertised. Art which also invites the Brooklyn and Manhattan community to spontaneously participate in the global and multi cultural discourse.

Cannon and Samson are young veterans, having staged large-scale festivals and exhibitions with the Museum of Modern Art/PS1, at Lincoln Center, in Times Square and throughout the Newtown cultural Precinct in downtown Johannesburg. They broke free and found their partner, Al Attara, who provides the stage: The Metropolitan Exchange Building. Attara says: Brooklyn is now the new cultural territory the inevitable extension from Manhattan. And here we are!
