Come celebrate open source, the open web, and the commons with CC and Mozilla on Wed. July 25th in Portland, OR. Several of the CC and Mozilla crew will be venturing out of San Francisco in order to attend the Open Source Convention (OSCON) and saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring our communities together in real time. Did we mention that Menomena, an experimental rock band from Portland will be playing? Awesome.

This was a pretty crummy excuse for a party, guys. I registered through this site, and when I arrived, I was told to go back to the hotel and get my badge to get in. Given that the Red Lion is ~10 blocks away, I was displeased, but did it anyway. When I returned, I was handed a single drink ticket to exchange for Pabst or some home-brewed garbage that my co-worker tried. And, after that, I'd have to pay for drinks. And there was no food left, even though it was early.
Disappointing. I expect not to see any women, but you could at least offer a DECENT beer, especially if I'm going to have to pay for it.
