The Sweetwaters Café poetry group holds monthly sessions that include a featured reader followed by an open mike period when anyone who has ever wanted to read their work may do so. In honor of National Poetry Month, the library will host a special session with this group and featured poet Robert Fanning. A professor of Creative Writing at Central Michigan University, Fanning is the author of American Prophet (Marick Press, 2009) and his poems have appeared in numerous journals. Come to this special AADL session and participate, or just sit back and enjoy an evening of delightful poetry!
