Hear veterans, their families, policy makers – all people who’s lives have been disrupted by war -- address the issues we face and the solutions we seek.

SPEAKERS WILL INCLUDE:

Dennis Kucinich – U.S. Congressman from Ohio, presidential candidate and originator of the campaign to establish a cabinet-level Department Of Peace

Garett Repenhagen of Iraq Veterans Against the War – men and women who have served and observed, have stories to tell and a new direction for our nation to follow.

Col. Janis Karpinsky, activist and determined fighter for Human Rights including the elimination of torture and abuse in prison and interrogation operations, including within military operations.

Tina Richards - mother of a Marine, Cloy Richards, who served two tours in Iraq, founder of Grassroots America and a member of Military Families Speak Out.

Phyllis Bennis – director of the International Policy Institute’s New Internationalism Program, and has been a writer, analyst and activist on Middle East and UN issues for many years.

Elaine Johnson - Gold Star Families, mother of Spc. Darius Jennings, age 22, killed in action in Iraq on November 2, 2003

Dahlia Wasfi, MD – Born to a Jewish mother and Muslim Iraqi father, she has been to Iraq since “Shock & Awe” and speaks out in support of immediate, unconditional withdrawal of American forces from Iraq and the need to end the occupation “from the Nile to the Euphrates.”

Sara Rich - is a member of Military Families Speak Out and CODE PINK. She is a mother to all Iraq Veterans Against the War

Fernando Suarez De Solar – father of Jesus A. Suarez Del Solar, a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, who died in Iraq on March 27th, 2003.

Nancy Lessin & Charley Richardson – Founders of Military Families Speak Out

Aimee Allison – Veteran, Conscientious Objector, she had led the effort to press the Oakland City Council to pass a resolution calling for the return of the National Guard.
