Teen sketch comedian Jeremy Shum will be trying out for American Idol 2010, in which he hopes to "forever replace William Hung as the iconic Chinese singer". The controversial radio host who is currently completing studies in Engineering Management, has been welcomed by Simon Cowell, who admits he won't put up with any "funny business", and not consider Shum's previous success in the comedy industry. "It's not a laughing matter", Cowell says, "but if he can sell, we'll have him". Executives of American Idol 2010 look forward to a huge and successful year.

Jeremy Shum has not yet indicated which song he is going to sing, but it is unlikely he will be doing the usual parody from his Miley5! Weekly show. Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Alyson Stoner songs seem to be apart of his consideration, but we won't know until the auditions.
