Dear Friends,

On August 18th 2007, please join myself, your MPP Peter Tabuns and City Councillor Paula Fletcher from 12pm-4pm in Riverdale Park East for a “100 Mile Barbeque”.

On the day we will be serving food items which have been sourced from a 100 mile radius of our community and will also be hosting a demonstration of solar carbon free cooking.

When the average North American sits down to eat, each ingredient has typically travelled at least 1,500 miles from farm to plate.

This is bad for our environment and not especially healthy.

A 100-mile barbeque is a great way to both be healthy and keep our air clean.
