THE CUTAWAYS (Belfast)
Another band with a few tweaks on the personnel front are Belfast's quirky pop-rockers The Cutaways who used to go under the name of The Betes Noires. They've muscled up with a tower of power bassist and generally make more a Pixies'n'pavement inspired racket than before.

THE TASTE (Munich)
Fact. We've never had a bad German band at the Windmill and this well-travelled lot are certainly not going to break a fine tradition.
Dreamy female-fronted indie with a big bite.
