NW Soberstock is the dream of Michael Sasenick, a musician and recovering addict. This project provided him a creative outlet during his recovery as well as a place to play his music (Us) that was safe from temptations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Oxford House (www.oxfordhouse.org) which offers housing, fellowship, self-reliance and self respect for recovering individuals, The Pachamama Alliance (www.pachamama.org) supporting tropical rainforests and the indigenous people who are nature’s custodians and the Kelly Stilson Memorial Fund benefiting music programs within the Seattle school district. Emerald City Guitars, Talking Rain and the Redmond Inn are the event’s sponsors.
