9th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 The BRICK LANE CURRY FESTIVAL is one of the greatest annual events of London, taking place down the famous streets of Brick Lane. The prominent 'Bangla Town Curry Festival' has become one of the most loved and enjoyed events by people all over the UK as the streets are filled with curry stalls, competitions and the exotic aroma of true Bangladeshi Cuisine. The Bangla Town Curry Festival has gained huge interest by media from across Europe and is one of the most talked about and remembered festive events to take place in Brick lane's Bangla Town. Press Launch The Curry Festival will begin with a Press Launch on Thrusday 6th September at 1pm and special guests will be attending. There will also be famous and talented chefs from all over the continent to welcome the festival and its visitors Visitors will experience culture, diversity and the warm feeling of a community, with over 60,000 people attending last year’s event, we are confident to announce that this year will attract much more. FREE Food to taste Chefs will be taking their kitchens out on the streets of Brick Lane to display a fantastic show of their culinary skills and prepare a wonderful range of Bengali and Indian cuisine that will be available for visitors to try.
Festival Fringe at the Brick Lane Festival 2007
Local bars including Vibe Bar, 93 Feet east, The Big Chill will be host to a programme of fringe events taking place alongside the main festival. Expect a quirky mix of live entertainment in a lively, upbeat atmosphere, where you can have a drink or two before setting out for more festival fun.
