The Chicago Humanities Festival, in partnership with the
University of Chicago, proudly presents a talk by 2004 Nobel
Peace Prize laureate Dr. Wangari Maathai.
Charismatic, humble, luminous of spirit, Dr. Maathai
will recount her extraordinary life as a political activist,
feminist, and environmentalist in Kenya, a story she tells in
her inspiring book, "Unbowed: A Memoir."
