The exhibition is designed to engage children and families in learning about one of the oldest civilizations - and now among the most modern - in the world through some of its young people. 'Children of Hangzhou' is devoted to expanding knowledge, understanding and appreciation of contemporary China through life in Hangzhou. In distinctively Chinese settings, visitors "meet" children with different interests and in different environments and learn what makes them tick. The exhibit dispels stereotypes and "demystifies" China.
