Established in 1997. the Cheeky Monkey is the longest running pub based comedy club in the Midlands. See comedians close up here before they make it big - previous performers have included Ross Noble, Daniel Kitson, Jimmy Carr, Reginald D Hunter, Jimmy Carr, Chris Addison, Rhys Darby.

For the Moseley Festival, the Cheeky Monkey comedy club is hosting the Midlands Heat of 'So You Think You're Funny' competition. This comedy competition is the most prestitgious of national competitions. It has been running for 21 years - past winners include Peter Kay, Lee Mack and Dylan Moran. AND Tuesday's heat is the ONLY Midland heat.

The format is simple. 10 new comics perform for 7 minutes each, trying to convince the judges that they will go onto the next round at the Edinburgh Festival in August.

It fast and furious. Some are rubbish, some are brilliant, some are bizarre.

Admission price is £5, £4 conc, plus you get a '£1 off the next show' voucher.

Hosting the show is Geoff Whiting. A brilliant compere who is worth the admission alone.

Doors 8pm, show starts 8.30pm.
