Beginning July 25, 2009, Georgetown, Colorado… Historic Georgetown, Inc. announces Archival Art and the Art of Mining, an art exhibition being held in the Hamill House Museum Stables. The exhibit begins with a reception on Saturday, July 25, 2009, from 5pm to 10pm. This exhibit is free of charge and will be on display through the month of August with a closing reception on Saturday, September 5, 2009, from 5pm to 10pm. The closing reception will include a silent and live auction. Artists and non-artists alike are encouraged to enter. The entry fee is $20 for up to two pieces submitted. Entry Forms are available March 1st and must be turned in to Historic Georgetown by June 30th. Celebrating 150 years of mining in Clear Creek County, this exhibit reflects our history and supports historic preservation and open lands in the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District. All proceeds benefit historic preservation. Whether you are an artist or art lover, come for the fun and support a worthy cause in Clear Creek County!
