Many of the exciting new websites and services of the last few years are associated with the concept of "Web 2.0". But what does "Web 2.0" really mean? Current use of the term focusses on the concept of the web as a read/write platform; using API's to create new services; user generated content; and the concepts of reusing and remixing.

The wikipedia definition of Web 2.0 reads: "Web 2.0 is a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users."
