Keston and Westdal @ Nublu
Friday September 7, 2007 at 10:00pm
Nublu
Ave C
New York City, New York Get Directions
This Friday, September 7 (10pm) and Saturday, September 8 (10pm and 12am), Keston and Westdal with Joshua Herbst on drums are playing at Nublu in NYC. This is the first time that the trio has been reunited since their 2004 tour and performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival. In anticipation of the event they have been busy preparing arrangements of material from the upcoming album, "One Day to Save All Life" along with their favorites from "Truth is Stranger" (Unearthed Music, March 2007).

Nublu is just North of Houston on Avenue C and one of the best spots in the Village for dancing to live music. If you can't be in New York for this one, we are sorry, but please spread the word to everyone you know and they will thank you for it later.

"...Nublu is as underground cool as it gets. No signs anywhere, just a blue light above the door... The brain child of saxophonist Ilhan Ersahin ... [the] space/bar brings together musicians across genres and around the world. ...Brazilian Girls, Wax Poetic (with Norah Jones), Kudu, Nublu Orchestra are all Nublu offsprings." -Umami Y. yelp.com
