Are you afraid to loose your job as a project manager when your company adopts an agile development approach?
Are you feeling more of a project administrator than someone who supports his team?
Are you a customer trying to get more value for your money?
Are you trying to figure out how to make your team act more as a team?
If you are, then this is a training for you!

Trainers

The trainers are all seasoned agile practitioners. Over the past years they could see their agile projects run smoothly. Currently, they are all working hands-on for the Ventouris project, the largest agile Java project in the Benelux. They enjoy working the agile way and want to spread the joy, so they recently started giving trainings on how to apply agile methodologies in real-life projects.

Johan Lybaert

Johan Lybaert, currently the Ventouris program manager at Cegeka, has a track record of more than 25 years in the world of ICT. Johans focus is the successful delivery of large projects. Applying the most appropriate development methodology in a pragmatic way is one of his key success factors. Today Johan is in charge of a large Java EE development project called Ventouris. A group of more than 60 people is realising a unique, major application to be used by more than 400 concurrent users through an ASP-service (application service provider). Today, five teams are simultaneously working according to the Scrum and eXtreme programming practices. Johan has brought the sessions 'Agile software development on large projects - Lessons learned' and ‘Agile Development Practical experiences ‘ to JavaPolis in 2005 and 2006.

Ilse Dierickx

Ilse Dierickx, currently a coach of one of the feature teams in the Ventouris project and a Certified Scrum Master, participated in one of Belgium’s first agile software initiatives more than 6 years ago. She introduced Test Driven Development in several software projects. Today Ilse is one of Cegeka’s methodology trainers. For one of Cegeka’s clients (Federaal Agentschap voor Voedsel Veiligheid – Food Agency) she trained the software development team in applying agile practices.

Jan Van Reusel

Jan, currently the Software Factory Manager and Certified Scrum Master, has been applying agile practices for several years. He transformed a classic medium sized project into a full-blown XP environment. He also coached and led the development of a large project in the telco industry using a combined Scrum and XP approach. Later Jan introduced agile practices into the Ventouris project and used his experience to set up the Software Factory (http://www.cegeka-software-factory.com). This Software Factory makes it possible to reuse experience gained in past projects to greatly benefit future projects.
