The two-day conference is composed of workshops covering fiction, personal essay, memoir, and poetry writing. Develop your creative-writing skills, get feedback on your work, and meet writers of color at this professional studies event. Workshop leaders include author/Basic Black TV-moderator Kim McLarin (Taming It Down), and authors Jennifer Baszile (The Black Girl Next Door), Reginald O'Hare Gibson (Storms Beneath the Skin), and Emily Bernard (Some of My Best Friends: Writers on Interracial Friendship). The conference also features panel discussions with industry practitioners who will discuss how to find a literary agent, how to publish your work, and how to build community.

You may register to participate in workshops covering one creative-writing genre, or register to participate in workshops covering two genres.
