The Emily Oaks Nature Center welcomes Anatomically Correct’s exhibition “Essence of Nature” featuring artwork by Chicago area artists: Clark Bending, Laura Coyle, Kathryn Gauthier, Ann Haberl, Howard Jacobs, Robert J. Johnson, Pauline Kochanski, Gregory Mejia, Carol Qualkinbush, Karen Vierneisel, Piotr Wolodkowicz and Jill Zylke.
These artists visited the Nature Center and painted outside on the grounds or took photographs and later created their art in their studios.
The exhibition opens with a FREE RECEPTION on June 19, 2009 (7 – 9 pm) and will be on display in the Nature Center’s gallery through August 28, 2009.

Also, a special event titled “Viewpoints of Emily Oaks”, will give visitors a FREE opportunity to watch over 50 Chicago area Plein Aire Artists set up their easels and paint along the Nature Center’s walking paths on July 12, 2009 (10 am – 2 pm) following the Nature Center’s Pancake Breakfast that same morning.

The nature center gates close at sunset everyday.
