Description
mySociety.org runs many of the UK's best known democracy sites such as TheyWorkForYou.com, WriteToThem.com and No10 Petitions website.
This autumn we'll be holding a series of talks from interesting and highly net savvy people who's work takes them to the boundaries between cuting edge technology and wider society. We've asked them to come along and tell us not just what they do, but what's tickling their imaginations and provoking their thoughts about the future.
This week's speaker will be Steve Coast, founder of OpenStreetMap, the collaboratively drawn map of the world, built by its users.

Hmm...

(OpenStreetMap's coverage of Central London is pretty good, if not *better* than the others)
What is OpenStreetMap? Well Steve Coast will be explaining this in his talk, so maybe reading this will be a spoiler: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/About
I'm looking forward to hearing it from Steve's perspective
