Traditional African Art reflects the ways of the community. Storytelling, dance, elaborate masks and clothing play a vital part in nearly all communal ceremonies as well as serve as a bond between the members of the society. Even today the art of those who are African descent reflect the creative connections to the ways and history of their community. African American art often tells a story of its people's struggles and triumphs.
