Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET-based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. It offers a flexible programming model that supports AJAX, VB, C#, Python, and Ruby, and integrates with existing Web applications. Even more, Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality and rich multimedia to all major browsers running on the Mac OS, Windows and soon to be the Linux platform. Join us on Saturday, Nov 10th for an all-day coding fest on Microsoft Silverlight. We’ll have experienced developers showcasing the power of the technology, getting you ready to develop your own Silverlight applications. Then there will be ample time to spend with them developing your own Silverlight applications. At the end of the event, you'll have the chance to show off your Silverlight application -- with prizes for the coolest and most creative efforts. So bring you laptop and your coding hat and come hang with a bunch of your fellow code monkeys!

Official registration site is on the event homepage: http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/EventDetail.aspx?EventID=1032353469&Culture=en-US. Registration is not required, but recommended due to space considerations...
