A perennial favorite, Preservation Hall Jazz Band returns to Irvine Barclay Theatre with its signature brand of New Orleans-style jazz. You can bet there will be confetti and dancing in the aisles. It’s New Orleans jazz at its finest. This is happy music with the unmistakable form and beat that comes from the saloons, street parades, and riverboats of turn-of-the century New Orleans. As always, concertgoers are invited to bring their parasols and beads and strut their stuff in a Bourbon Street-style parade as the band plays the finale, "When the Saints Go Marching In." With or without your mardi gras finery, come celebrate the music with great New Orleans jazz from those fabulous originals of Preservation Hall.
