If Miike Snow doesn’t ring a bell, perhaps some of the artists associated with the name will: Madonna, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez, and so on. But don’t bother looking him up in the phone book, since Miike Snow is actually a Swedish-American trio named after Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike. The Scandinavian parts of the equation, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, are the ones with the high-profile diva-licious CV, having burrowed their way into brains with Brit hits like “Toxic” and “Piece Of Me” under their Bloodshy & Avant production moniker, though singer Andrew Wyatt (an in-house producer for Downtown Records) makes sure the moody electro-pop project doesn’t end up sounding too foreign. The band is making its San Francisco debut here.
