Enjoy the outdoors and be a steward of your local natural areas! To assist the ongoing forest restoration project at Conference House Park, we will remove invasive plant species, preventing their spread and encouraging our native plant and animal community to recover. As needed, we might alsocare forplantings, collect or broadcast seeds, or attend to other small tasks. Come and learn while youlend a hand toward ahealthy ecosystem! We will gather around the flagpole outside the Visitors' Center at 5:00 p.m. Sturdy shoes and long pants are highly recommended. If you're sensitive to poison ivy, a long-sleeve shirt to cover your wrists is a good idea. Gloves and any needed tools will be provided. Tap water and restrooms are available at the Visitors' Center. Because we might be working in several areas of the park during this workday, anyone arriving late may have difficulty finding the group. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. For RSVPs and questions, please call Cheri Brunault at (718) 390-8021, or email cheri.brunault@parks.nyc.gov. This event is rain or shine. Hope to see you there!
