The Cowan Center is thrilled to announce the star opening this season in BALLROOM WITH A TWIST is Gilles Marini, runner-up of this season’s “Dancing with the Stars.” After a hugely successful career as an Armani print and runway model, Gilles Marini exploded onto the showbiz scene as Dante, the Casanova, in the 2008 summer blockbuster movie “Sex and the City.” Though the movie achieved him fame worldwide, his star turn on “Dancing with the Stars” revealed his incredible dancing talents as well as his admirable character – all while being idolized by women of all ages! His numerous tv credits include “Ugly Betty,” “Dirty, Sexy Money,” “Criminal Minds” and look for him this season on “Nip/Tuck.” BALLROOM WITH A TWIST is directed and choreographed by “Dancing with the Stars” Emmy nominated Louis Van Amstel (pictured). The adrenaline-packed show features fantastic dancers from “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “High School Musical.”
