Explore the process of designing a website with Tyler Lee, Executive Director of Production for Sony Pictures Imageworks Interactive in Albuquerque. UNM Continuing Education is offering a Designing for the Web class beginning Thursday, July 23 from 2pm-5pm for 4 sessions. For the price of $249 students will examine the process of web design including conceptualizing, structuring, and applying design principles to create visually appealing and highly usable solutions. With an emphasis on design principles and information architecture best practices, topics include setting up a site map, designing an interface, and creating comprehensive storyboards. Equipment and materials cost about $25. A materials list will be available the first day of class. Prerequisites: 55101 and working knowledge of the Internet. About the Instructor: Tyler Lee has more than a decade of experience in online advertising and interactive production. He worked as a designer, developer, art director, and web producer prior to managing medium to large-scale production teams and processes in the entertainment industry. Lee is currently Executive Director of Production for Sony Pictures Imageworks Interactive in Albuquerque. Prior to initiating its web production efforts in New Mexico, Lee was Director of Web Production for the company’s headquarters in Culver City, California. Before joining Imageworks Interactive, Lee helped build online brands and execute marketing strategies for entertainment companies like Walt Disney Pictures, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Paramount Pictures, Activision, Sundance Institute and HBO.
