A holiday season staple, Robert Weiss' Nutcracker is a fantasy classic, capturing the irrepressible imagination of a child’s world in which all things are possible. Featuring toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes, an army of mice and the Sugar Plum Fairy, the original work was Tchaikovsky’s third and last major ballet.

Renowned for its story ballets, Carolina Ballet has served the Triangle community since 1997 under the inspired leadership of artistic director Robert Weiss, formerly a principal dancer with New York City Ballet.
