International Farmers is a six member collective of musicians and friends who love to create music together. Daniel Primavera (guitar/vocals) and Jeremy Odom (bass), two childhood friends in search of their dream, formed the band during the summer of 2000. Driven by a love for reggae, the two friends sought to combine groove oriented rhythms and positive messages within a friend and family atmosphere. The project debuted songs starting in Atlanta/Athens before relocating to Southern California in mid 2002. After a few drummers, the band was set in sweet motion by the addition of Preston Nelson (son of Juan Nelson from Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals). Nelson naturally translated Primavera's songwriting, allowing the guitar, bass, and vocals to settle in. The chemistry began. Magically, Jamie Bullock (keyboards) and Lara Beers (vocals), also from the East Coast, were added by early 2004. Jamie's keyboard mastery and trickery broadened the soundscape while Lara's soulful vocals gave amazing range and sweeping passion to the songs. Horns were mutually desired and Brian Landau delivered uncanny sax ability and swagger in 2005. The dream now had wheels. Thus, began the musical journey that is International Farmers.
