CeU's U.S. debut comes hot on the heels of a Latin Grammy nomination for best new artist of 2006. Her full name is Maria do Ceu Whitaker Pocas. This sultry, jazzy, funky, sexy and soulful singer from Sao Paulo brings music described as soul, Afrobeat and electrojazz with samba roots. Caetano Veloso proclaimed "CeU is the future of Brazilian Popular Music".
