KBOO’s Night of the Living Tongue hosts this year’s Boo Bash featuring a diverse array of Pacific Northwest musicians

KBOO Community Radio’s Boo Bash is hosted this year by the station’s Night of the Living Tongue program and takes place on Halloween, October 31 at Holocene, 1001 SE Morrison Ave, Portland. Tickets are $7 with costume/ $12 without. Doors open at 8pm. The party is a fundraising event for KBOO, a non-profit community radio station.

This year’s event will showcase a diverse array of independent Pacific Northwest bands including Velella Velella, Strength, Rainbow and the Kittens, Neo Pagan Jazz Bastards, Mattress, Pulse Emitter + Brizbomb, as well as KBOO DJs Rolf, Dr. Zomb and Jamilah. There will also be visual artists, a costume contest, raffle prizes and more. Night of the Living Tongue’s Jennifer Robin and Sean Ongley will emcee.

KBOO Community Radio is proud to present the Boo Bash, the newest incarnation of its famed Halloween event, the Boo Ball. For several years, KBOO was host to the infamous Boo Ball Halloween Party, taking over sites like Union Station for an evening. After several years of hibernation, KBOO has returned to Halloween in a new place and form for the next generation of radio listeners. This year’s sponsors include Captured by Porches Brewing Company, Hot Lips Pizza and PDX Pop Now! Enjoy Halloween’s best party and support independent music and radio at this fundraiser for KBOO. More information is available online at www.kboo.fm or by calling 503 231 8032 x206.

KBOO is an independent, volunteer-driven, listener-supported, community radio station. From its first broadcast in 1968, KBOO has provided programming, training and access for underserved communities. Over 6000 members and 500 volunteers power the station.
