Ground, Ice & Water - Ideas for 'Groundsourcing' the Carbon Problem
Thursday August 6, 2009 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
The University Club
800 Powell Street
San Francisco, California 94108 Get Directions
Join us at the Harvard Club of San Francisco for a public networking event and panel discussion on the role that ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) and allied thermal transfer techniques like ice storage and water gridding can play to capture "negatherms" and significantly reduce energy demand throughout the built environment.

Dennis Murphy, President of GroundSource Geo and recent winner of the world's largest clean technology business plan competition, The Clean Tech Open, leads a panel of Bay Area energy innovators focused on new solutions to the age-old problem of providing heating, cooling and hot water. Murphy will start with a crash course on GSHPs. The panel will then highlight an astounding array of uses for the thermal transfer of energy: How ice rinks can heat homes, and how your local water utility can provide your air conditioning.

Meet industry experts and learn about GSHPs, a mission-critical technology as Californians rush to meet "net zero" building requirements by 2020!

** OPEN TO THE PUBLIC **

Public $25 / Members $15 / PRICE INCLUDES DINNER -- Register by August 4th.
