Legendary rock and roll hall of famer and lifetime achievement Grammy award winner Booker T Jones was backing stars such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Eddie Floyd - in his teens. With his Memphis Group cohorts Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn and Al Jackson, Jones laid out the blueprint for the fabled Stax sound and a string of hits such as Booker T & the MGs' classic “Green Onions.” Jones recorded with countless major artists from Bobby Darin to John Lee Hooker, and produced Bill Withers' signature Ain't No Sunshine as well as Willie Nelson's multi-platinum selling blockbuster Stardust. Booker T & the MGs served as house band for the famed Bob Dylan tribute at Madison Square Garden, which led to a sustained alliance with Neil Young, who is featured on Booker T Jones' brand new CD.
