The tea is an elegant afternoon affair patterned after an authentic British High Tea. It includes a variety of savories and sweets served buffet style in the dining room of the mansion, as well as hot tea and/or coffee served at the table.

Live entertainment will be provided by a string quartet from Dallas as well as by costumed members of the Texas Shakespeare Festival Acting Company.

Door prizes consisting of free tickets to TSF productions will be awarded to the three patrons whose hats are judged to be “most beautiful,” “most original” and “most outrageous.”

Patrons also will be allowed to tour the Crim Mansion, home of Kilgore’s first mayor, which has been carefully restored to its original splendor.
