DUMBO Street Photography Workshop
Photography Workshop by Paolo Cardone
Street Photography is a term that is often reduced to any photos taken on the street. A look at true street photography reveals that it is both an art and that there are a number of specific techniques involved. This course is designed for both film and digital photography.
Street photography typically captures a candid moment. With some photographers this is intentionally direct and confrontational. With others it is about capturing a situation without being noticed. In either situation, it is about capturing emotion or action.
This one day workshop will combine a session discussing different techniques used and as well as a the importance of composition. At the end of the day we will spend time reviewing the photos. For those shooting with film we review the photos after they have been processed at a date which we will decide on.
The course will take place in DUMBO at the Fulton Ferry Landing and we will spend most of the time shooting outdoors at different locations in DUMBO. Come prepared in comfortable shoes and remember to bring fully charged batteries and clean memory cards.
The cost of the workshop is $60. To be paid at the workshop. Please RSVP.
