Benefit for NCOR : The Opposite Sex w/ Police & Thieves and Hollywood

Mirroring the identity of the times, The Opposite Sex express a shocking vision of dark beauty. Assembled in 2004 and inspired by the post-punk era’s harder acts, the band has gained a reputation for its swelling intensity, tribal rhythms and bittersweet melodies. Their live performances are a charged exploration of theater & sound. BigTakeover magazine described a recent live performance as “ arresting post-punk, complete with a slightly saucy glam stomp.”

Live performances are accompanied by video paintings(Eric Helton of Line of Sight films) where imagery is both stunning and dark. Everything is edited live as visuals blend seamlessly with sound.

With their first full-length record Violent Heartstrings completed, The band is working on its fall/winter tour schedule, writing new material, and expanding distribution, which now includes Projekt, Dischord, Hungry eye records, interpunk, and Cdbaby.

Join them in a benefit for NCOR w/ police & thieves and Hollywood
