Wednesday November 28, 2007 at 7:00pm
San Francisco Public Library, Eureka Valley Branch
3565 16th St.
San Francisco, California 94114 Get Directions

Author Michelle Tea returns to host another Radar Salon! This month she'll be talking about fiction with:

Charlie Anders, who wrote a novel called Choir Boy and co-edited an anthology called She's Such A Geek; who co-founded Other magazine and organizes the Writers With Drinks reading series; who has published her stuff in a bunch of anthologies, including Pills, Chills Thrills & Heartache (which you can get for $7 at Dog-Eared Books rightnow!), and also has written for Mother Jones, Salon.com, ZYZZVYA, Watchword, Instant City, the SF Bay Guardian, the SF Chronicle, Publisher's Weekly, McSweeney's online and Pindeldyboz online. Charlie Jane has writing forthcoming in the MonkeyBicycle dirty humor anthology (featuring Sarah Silverman), and Sex For America, edited by Stephen Elliott.

Beth Lisick, a writer, performer and author of the collections Monkey Girl, This Too Can Be Yours and Everybody Into the Pool, which was a New York Times extended list bestseller and mae Entertainment Weekly's top 10 books of 2005; who writes the weekly Buzz Town nightlife column on sfgate.com; whose stage and screen collaborations with writer/performer Tara Jepsen have yielded some uncomfortable moments, most recently via the short film Diving for Pearls, which played at film festivals in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles (and features some unattractive full frontal nudity). Beth also runs the Porchlight Storytelling Series, and is awaiting publication of her next book, a colelction of writings from a year spent self-improving with the help of Richard Simmons, Sylvia Browne, and others.
