New York jazz pianist Hurt garnered popularity in the mid-'90s while playing on sessions with Antonio Hart, Russell Gunn and Sherman Irby. He quickly made a name for himself as a sideman and a leader of distinction. His debut CD was released in 1999, and since then he continues to reap critical and audience acclaim.
