Delray Beach, Florida 33444 Get Directions
Guests are invited to show off their best moves and cut a rug at The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum's annual gala, Dancing With the Stars Spady-Style. The event, which benefits the museum's children's programs, is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 19 at the Delray Beach Marriott, 10 North Ocean Boulevard.

Upscale Events By Mosaic will be working with the Spady Museum to craft a fun-filled entertainment experience, featuring dining, dancing, professional entertainment, a silent auction, and community awards. WPTV personality Tania Rogers will return as Mistress of Ceremonies.

Gala Honorary Chairs are Perry and Troy Brown of West Palm Beach. The couple deeply believes that preserving the vibrant history of Palm Beach County and all of its many communities is important and imperative. Perry is a senior vice president and director at the Wealth Strategies Group for Northern Trust Bank's Southeast Florida Region and a board member of EPOCH (Expanding and Preserving our Culture Heritage, Inc.), which serves as the museums governing board. Troy is a director at the Income Property Capital Group, South Florida.

It truly is an honor to be part of the celebration recognizing the contributions of many in the community, Perry said. We are very pleased to be part of an organization that promotes awareness of how those who went before us shaped the community we live in today.

Co-chairs for the event are Delray Beach residents and Spady Museum members Joycelyn Patrick, Jennifer Costello, and Gladys Whigham. Patrick is pleased to take the helm again after serving as co-chair for last year's gala with Mim George.

"We are so excited to be a part of an event that brings the community together, recognizes some of our local leaders and allows others to learn what a great job The Spady Museum is doing at preserving our history for future generations," Patrick said.

Tickets for the event are $125. Gift gathering parties in February and March are being planned to secure items for the galas silent auction.

The event planning committee is currently seeking sponsorships at various levels: The Waltz at $20,000; Tango at $10,000; Foxtrot at $5,000; Hustle at $2,500; and Line Dance at $1,500. For more information on event sponsorship, call the museum at 561-279-8883 or visit the web site at www.spadymuseum.com.
