Get to know your camera with professional photographer Marc Silber, and allow him to inspire your next journey through the eyes of a lens. Marc is a native of the Peninsula, an avid outdoorsman, and, a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute. He has been a professional photographer for more than 40 years, and, he loves to teach photography through his workshops and published works. In his words, Today everyone has a camera, but do they know how to use it? Rushing around, snapping pictures distracts from the core joy of photography. The art of photography is best defined in the simple action of finding
a shot and showing others what I see. This view of life transcends just looking through a camera lens and leads to really seeing life. Marc studied the works of masters such as Ansel Adams, the Westons and Henri Cartier-Bresson, but quickly forged his own unique style and quality of light-writing (etymology of photography). His photography tips and experiences are sure to inspire the artist in you!
