WineCamp
Friday May 26, 2006 - Sunday May 28, 2006 from 6:00pm - 4:00pm
Ferrier Vineyard
Not quite sure....
Sierra Foothills, Get Directions
Barcamp goes native! Wine, wifi, good food and a bon fire. What more can you ask for?

Okay so registration is mandatory with a modest fee of $60 to cover the cost of food and drink for the weekend.

Camping on the vineyard is freely available and highly encouraged, though there are accommodations in the town of Murphy's as well!

The date has been set to precede the Net Squared conference taking place May 30-31.

Questions? Email me (Chris): barcamp+upcoming@gmail.com.

And we get there how?
Posted 4 years ago
I'll be organizing busses and a boat. Seriously.
Posted 4 years ago
Well yes, the problem with Barcamp Amsterdam was all that beer! Seriously, this sounds great, wish I could be there.

Tell Jason to get 37Signals to sponsor it. I can see the Campfire banners now....

Memorial Day weekend? Bah.
Posted 3 years ago
Ditto, Memorial day. Can't make it. Humbug.
Posted 3 years ago
Can't come since I already have plans that weekend, but have fun!
Posted 3 years ago
Alas, with the reg fees, I'm downgrading to "watch", as a non-wine-drinker, my $ would be seriously subsidizing massive consumption by others.
Posted 3 years ago
It must be cool.

raines,

The $60 is not for the wine...it's:

a. for the food
b. to show your commitment, so we don't haul a whole bunch of food up to Calaveras County and waste it.

The wine has been donated.

We just need exact numbers. We figured a small $60 fee (for an entire weekend) would show true commitment.

;)

OK, I showed up for the planning meeting, and I'm convinced it's real, gonna be fun, and needs all of us to put down our $ now to make it possible to happen.

Does anyone know what sleeping accomodations are like? I don't see anything about that on the main website. Must I go out and stock up on camping gear or should I expect to snooze in my car?
Posted 3 years ago
What about carpools?
Does anyone have any room?
Posted 3 years ago
totally bummed I cant be there with you!
Posted 3 years ago
Careful, the Google link on the Registration page takes you to Zucca Mountain Vineyards, not Ferrier Vineyard.

check the wiki pages for ride-share and other coordination aspects.

Since the wiki isn't linked here or on the website...http://barcamp.org/WineCampRideShare

I can drive some folks up from SF.
Posted 3 years ago
Sigh... wish I too could go, but oy, the registration fees, the fees.

Anyone up for PotLuckBarCamp (i.e. BYOB, food, tents etc.)? Anyone? Anyone?
Posted 3 years ago
you don't have that much budgeted for a coupl'a days worth of meals? Remember the three magic words: deductible business expense! I finally got myself registered.
