AbbA Dance Party - Friday Nov 18
Who doesn't love the music of AbbA, the Swedish 70's group behind classics like
Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia?
This Friday, the social groups behind many of New York's Scandinavian
and European mingles/parties, bring you an AbbA theme event you do not
want to miss.
When:
Friday November 18. Doors open at 10pm. We start the
night in the upstairs lounge/bar to some warm-up Disco music and Hors
d'Oeuvres. Around 11pm we open up the rest of the space and the adventure
begins.
Where:
Mars 2112 on 51st and Broadway. A fabulous place for
a Disco party. When you are not on the dance floor, you can look down
on it from the mezzanine or explore the many nooks and crannies of the
two levels.
What:
Disco, Disco, Disco. The best hits of AbbA, mixed in with other favorites
from the 70s. A state of the art light and projection show and a performance
that will be the topic of discussion in weeks to come
Who:
We don't care much for velvet rope illusions. If you are over 21 and like
to shake it... you're in.
How:
Come in character (not required... but fun.) Borrow your dads old Bellbottoms
or scour the thrift shops for platform shoes with a goldfish in the heel.
The 10 best costumes win a Mamma Mia! CD, (compliments of the fabulous
Broadway production)
What else:
The Peroni photo-shoot booth. You always dreamed about being in a beer
ad? Here is your chance to show your talent. Be prepared to "Look
sexy with a Peroni".
Specials:
$6 Peroni all night and mixed drink specials with Orange Vodka.
