"Wonderful Life" - the year 2009 combines two Darwinian anniversaries - 200 years from his birth and 150 years from the publication of The Origin of the Species. On the eve of the second of these anniversaries, Alton Fringe Theatre presents dramatised readings using original texts, letters, drawings, engravings, paintings and music. These include the anthems played at Darwin's funeral and one of Gilbert and Sullivan's witty songs satirising his Theory of Evolution.
