This exhibit is divided into four parts. In the People Gallery, visitors can learn about the customs settlers brought to Illinois, find out about the local Native American populations and see kitchens from the various cultural groups that resided in the area. The Politics Gallery examines the politics of the area and some of the notable historical figures who lived nearby. In the Work Gallery, visitors can learn about the various occupations and industries of county residents from long ago. Finally, the Farming Gallery takes a look at how the county has physically changed over the years.
