Transforming Traditions: Japanese and Korean Art Since 1800

This exhibition features works from the Museum's permanent collection that reflect innovative inflections in traditional East Asian genres. See 19th-century Japanese literati paintings and vibrant selections from the Griffith and Patricia Way collection of nihonga. The installation also explores the contemporary side of Japanese and Korean art. The work of 20th-century ceramicists, calligraphers and printmakers are on display.
