Dear Cohousing Supporter -- We really need your presence at the upcoming hearing. We appreciate your continuing support!

February 26 Policy Planning Commission hearing
This hearing is a chance to demonstrate your support for a smart growth, green project endorsed by ECOS, the Sierra Club, WalkSacramento, and the Sacramento County Physicians (SSVMS). Sycamore Village (www.OrangevaleCohousing.org) is proposed as a pedestrian-friendly village where neighbors know and care about each other. On February 26th, the Sacramento County Policy Planning Commission will hear our project.
In January 2007, the Orangevale CPAC voted against Sycamore Village because of neighborhood opposition. Since then, Sycamore Village has been redesigned to address the neighbors' concerns, but some neighbors are still opposed. The Policy Planning Commission might approve the project in February -- but only if there is a big turnout of supporters. Your presence is vital to support this transit-friendly infill project. Please check out the article about us in the January 31st issue of Sac News & Review. It does a good job of describing our challenges: http://www.newsreview.com/sacramento/Content?oid=618369.
