Brecht is back at the Young Vic!
The gods visit earth. Shen Te, a good-hearted prostitute gives them shelter. They reward her with money. She opens a tobacco shop. But how can good people be good in a world full of want and cruelty?
A muscular new translation of Brecht's lyrical masterpiece by David Harrower directed by international opera and theatre maestro Richard Jones.
With songs by David Sawer.
